This graph compares the current year, last year and ten year average counts and will not work until there is data for the site selected.
Summer Chinook are not counted at Willamette Falls Dam.
Shad are not counted at Willamette Falls, The Dalles, John Day, Lower Monumental, Little Goose, Rock Island, Rocky Reach and Wells Dams. Additionally, shad are typically not counted at any of the Corps dams after August 31 each year and shad are not counted at all Corps dams.
Unclipped steelhead are counted separately from clipped steelhead at ODFW and Corps dams on the Willamette, Columbia, and Snake Rivers. Unclipped steelhead are identified as fish with an intact adipose fin. However, it is known that some hatchery fish do not have their adipose fin removed. Therefore, not all unclipped steelhead are wild fish. There are two categories for steelhead in our reports: 1. Unclipped Steelhead and 2. Total Steelhead (combined unclipped and clipped). It is not appropriate to add the total steelhead and unclipped steelhead counts together. There is no distinction between unclipped and clipped steelhead counts at Wanapum and Priest Rapids Dams.
